Other Things Great Networkers Do!
1. Prepare and plan for the event ahead of time.
2. Never attend a networking event alone.
By attending a networking event with a referral source you have a prime opportunity to work together to promote each other’s businesses. It’s much easier to describe what your referral source has done for you to get a potential prospect interested in them rather than trying to toot your own horn about your business. This lends to instant credibility with the prospect before you have even met him.
Another advantage to going with a referral source is that you may need to train one another about what to listen for, who to look for, and how to introduce each other to prospective contacts. Not only does this give you an opportunity to share more about your business with your source but it gives you an idea about how to better promote them, which could result in large deposits into the relationship bank account.
